Sandia Loca is Spanish for "crazy watermelon." It's a typical Mexican cuisine that's a visual and gustatory delight! The inside of a hollowed-out watermelon is filled with vegetables and candies, drizzled with chamoy sauce, and dusted with Tajin.
To make your sandia loca, after properly cleaning the watermelon, cut it in half. Cut a small piece of the watermelon's stem end off to keep the fruit from moving back and forth and to help it sit flat.
Now, cut the watermelon flesh into a deep grid with a knife, then delicately scoop the fruit into a big bowl with a spoon.
Cut the remaining fruits into cubes, bars, or any other shape you choose. Combine all of the ingredients in the bowl with the watermelon.

- Cut the pineapple flesh into desired shapes.
- Cut the watermelon into square slices with a knife and scoop out the chunks using a large spoon.
- Combine the cucumber, jicama, peanuts, and some of the candies in a large mixing bowl with the watermelon.
- Then pour the mixture into the watermelon skin that has been left empty.
