- 1 cup sushi rice short grain sushi rice
- 1 cup water
- 1 ½ tablespoons sushi vinegar (optional) or mixing 1 tablespoons rice vinegar, 1/2 tablespoon sugar, and 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 3 tablespoons tobiko (flying fish roe) or 60 grams fish roe
- 6 oz cooked shrimp or crab, salmon, tuna, etc.
- 1/2 cucumber cut into 1/2-inch strips
- 2 sheets nori (seaweed)
- 2 avocado
- ½ tsp sesame oil

- Cook the rice according to the package directions in your rice cooker or pot.
- Using a strainer, remove the liquid from your tofu pockets.
- Season the rice with sesame oil and rice vinegar after it has finished cooking and is still warm, then move it to a large mixing basin to chill.
- Mix the fresh tobiko or sweet fish roe with mayo in a separate small bowl until well blended.
- Using clean water, wet your hands. 1 tbsp seasoned rice, leveled, rolled into a ball, and stuffed into the opened inari wrapper Level the top of the rice by flattening it. Carry on with the technique for the remaining pockets.
- Alternatively, place a piece of plastic wrap on top of the bamboo mat, fold the nori sheets in half, and split them. Half of the nori sheet should be placed on top of the bamboo. Spread a cup of cooked rice evenly over nori. Roll it up and tighten it up.
- If you're using the alternative method, remove the bamboo mat and spread tobiko on top of the roll. Cover with the sushi mat after covering with plastic wrap. To wrap the tobiko around the roll, gently squeeze it. Keep the plastic wrap while removing the mat. Using a sharp knife, cut the roll into bite-size pieces. Each piece should be wrapped with plastic wrap.
- Then drizzle 1 tsp of the tobiko mayo mixture over each bun.
- Finally, add a little slice of green onion as a garnish for added flavor. Enjoy!
